Nadja is a San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley yoga teacher who started yoga as a cure for her blues. Not far into her practice she realized that yoga is much more than asana and cool yoga pants. By combining the body and mind through the rhythm of breath, yoga became not just a practice, but a path to a better way of life.
Nadja is certified E-RYT 200 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) by Yoga Alliance. She is a YTT-F (Yoga Teacher Training Faculty Member) at EastWest Yoga and a Level 1 Reiki practitioner. She specializes in Yin Yoga, Gentle/Restorative, Meditation, and Hatha Flow Yoga integrating multiple aspects of yoga including Pranayama, Mudra, and Mindfulness.
She also continually advances her education through workshops and trainings.
To help students get the most out of their practice from her class, Nadja teaches with a focus on proper form before the flair and awareness of breath. She incorporates modifications and alternate poses to ensure that each person is able to participate throughout the class at a level that is comfortable to them. With yoga, one size does not fit all.
While Nadja teaches at all levels, she has a soft spot for beginners who deserve a patient and solid start for their transformative journey. Join her for a fun, friendly, yet challenging blend of the physical and spiritual worlds that comprise yoga.
Nadja is a wandering spirit, captivated by art, creativity, and new experiences in life. At home, she enjoys sharing her own practice with her two sphynx cats. Off the mat, Nadja earned a BA in Graphic Design Studies and Photographic Arts from San Jose State, and is a graphic designer, global trotter, cat lover, tea aficionado, and cacti admirer. I love Nadja’s Yin Yoga classes! I’ve been going to her classes twice a week for about 6 months, and I feel so good after each class. She’s inspired me to commit to Yin Yoga as a regular part of my weekly practice. I highly recommend her!
Nadja is a skilled instructor that teaches the principles of yoga and lives them in her daily life. She is patient and knowledgeable with therapeutic exercise for injuries. I enjoy all of her classes.
I have been practicing yoga for many years, on and off, here and there, After my first class with Nadja 6 months ago, I could tell immediately that I like it, Nadja don’t push you hard on the pose, but her instruction is so clear, and with options of many alternatives, you can literally see… your improvement day after day. Every class Nadja has a different focus, that is how unique her class is. We can tell her what we want to do in the beginning of the class, whether we want to sweat or not ;), no kidding, we can tell her everything we want, that is how relax the environment can be. We practice on our core, lower back, stretch, and balance, etc. Nadja explains each move and the reason behind, I felt comfortable yet challenged. Sitting in the office for long hours daily, my blood circulation in the lower half body isn’t working very well. After these couple months of class with Nadja, I personally felt that my legs are gaining some strength back. I am very excited about the improvement, and looking forward to her class every Tuesday and Thursday, even though that means I have to reschedule my appointments and meetings. Come and join us, I am sure you will love her class too. read more “I have been practicing yoga”
I would highly recommend any yoga class taught by Nadja. She creates a welcoming environment for all students and encourages an educational dialog when teaching new poses. Nadja also excels at creating a balanced class that challenges a student’s balance, strength, and stretching ability. If you’re lucky enough to attend more than one of Nadja’s… classes per week you’ll find that the classes complement each other. Some classes focus on balance with core work while others focus on strength with back work, this results in a comprehensive yoga workout over the week. The best thing about Nadja is that she constantly improves her yoga classes by observing the class and taking feedback from students. This keeps me feeling challenged and satisfied after every yoga class. I would definitely encourage anyone to take a yoga class from Nadja. read more “”
I’ve been doing Yoga with Nadja for one year already. Her positive aura surrounds and calms you as she gently walks you through the class, and she has this special way of making you believe in yourself. If you have been doing yoga for a while, Nadja’s classes build up to more complicated positions during… each session. One of the best yoga instructors that I’ve been ever met! read more “”
I started regular classes at the corporate gym (moffet towers) with Nadja and eventually had a 1-1 session. Nadja is passionate about her teaching and genuinely wants to help her students acheive their specific goals. She makes her self available for questions and discussions about your practice outside of class or 1-1 time. She has… positive energy and pushes you to your limits in a good way. Her knowledge of anatomy and physiology is apparent. I definitely recommend her classes and 1-1 time for anyone wanting to include Yoga as a means to exercise, work on physical therapy (like myself), stretch or just have a mental escape from the daily grind. read more “I started regular classes at”
